Born 1960in Zenica, where he graduated 1984. year on Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Zenica University of Sarajevo. After graduating, he worked for a year at the "Zenica" Steel Factory. From 1985. has been permanently employed at the faculties in Zenica, first as an assistant, senior assistant, docent, assistant professor. and today he is a regular professor in the fields of production systems, logistics, entrepreneurship and maintenance. Postgraduate master's study in the field of production systems design completed at Faculty of Technical Sciences at the University of Novi Sad in 1991. Research work for master's research done in 1989 at TU Ostrava (Czech Republic). Doctoral research in the period 1996-1999 year performed at universities in Aachen (RWTH Aachen - Germany), Turin (Politecnico di Torino - Italy) and Barcelona (Univerisidad Politecnica de Catalynia-Spain). He defended his doctoral dissertation in 1999 on University of Sarajevo.
He was the leader or participant in a number of larger projects such as the Zenica Science and Technology Park, the establishment of the National Laboratory for Testing in Wood Processing (LIND), the Economic Development Plan of the Municipality of Zenica, the Feasibility Study of the Development of Business Zones in Herzegovina, the development of the Science and Technology Park and centers of excellence Montenegro, the development of scientific and technological parks of Serbia, the Technology Park INTERA Mostar, the Business Zone PC 96 Vitez, the Cluster of plastic and toolmakers of BiH and others. He participated as a member of the project team in the development of the Strategy for the Development of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2010-2015, the Strategy for the Development of Science in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2010-2015 and 2015-2020, the Strategy for the Development of Science in FBIH for the period 2010-2020. (in the team of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina), ZDK Economic Development Strategy, Zenica City Economic Strategy, Economic Resources and Importance for Environmentally Sustainable Development. Among the larger projects, "Development of innovation centers in Zenica, Banja Luka and Mostar" (IPA EU program), membership in the expert team of the World Bank from Washington on the project "Strategies for the development of RDI in Southeastern Europe", the first management of the Tempus project in Bosnia and Herzegovina ( 2006), and a number of EU Tempus, Interreg, IPA and Erasmus projects. He published more than 400 papers at conferences, participated in the development of more than 200 domestic and international projects, and published more than 10 books. He was appointed an expert of the Italian Government for the evaluation of NIR projects, a member of the accreditation commission of CENQA in Dusseldorf and ARACIS in Bucharest. From 2004 to 2014, he held the position of vice-rector for development, science, and then for QA and international cooperation at UNZE and a member of the Bologna expert group in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For the Government of the Republic of Srpska, he led the project Ranking of Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Srpska (2021-2022). He is one of them Technology Park INTERA Mostar.
He is the founder and director Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (TTO) of the University of Zenica (CIP UNZE) more than 10 years. He has more than 35 years of experience in higher education and excellent cooperation with businessmen in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. He is one of the BH initiators of the concept of dual studies at the University of Zenica, as well as the development of legislation and other important elements for the development of such studies. He is particularly active in cooperation with businessmen in the Tešanj and Vitez business zones, ZDK and FBiH Chambers of Commerce, similar TTO centers in the region (Belgrade, Ljubljana, Split, Kopar, Novi Sad, Sinliurfa, etc.), the Project Office of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton . In addition to the teaching process, CIP UNZE emphasizes the development of international project cooperation as a priority in its work.
