Center for energy efficiency authorized to produce energy audits and certificates in FBiH

The Center for Energy Efficiency of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zenica is authorized by the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning (number: UPI/04-19-585/22, dated 20 July 2022) to produce energy audits / reviews and energy certificates (energy certification ) of facilities with complex systems in FBiH.

Field of activity of the Center:

• Preparation of energy audits / reviews and energy certificates (energy certification) of facilities with complex systems in FBiH
• Regular energy audit of heating and air conditioning systems;
• Testing the efficiency of operation of boiler plants;
• Provision of consulting services on the EE and RES market in the entire area of Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond;
• Research and development development in the field of EE and RES;
• Production of energy / energy audits / inspections in industrial plants
• Development of energy / energy efficiency studies, plans and programs;
• Drafting and analysis of strategic documents in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources;
• Consulting, coordination and support in the implementation of energy / energy efficiency projects;
• Development and implementation of projects of energy transition and decarbonization of the energy sector;
• Promoting cooperation with other universities and institutes in the country and abroad in the domain of EE and OIE;
• Providing support in the realization of practical knowledge through the existing system of realization of the teaching-scientific process at the faculty;
• Organizing and improving public information about the importance of energy efficiency through the introduction and improvement of renewable energy sources and the implementation of specific programs and projects of new energy systems (solutions);
• Strengthening legal regulations and legislation in the field of EE and RES by active participation through the preparation of legal documents, legal, by-laws and strategic documents by state and regional institutions (scientific and professional approach);
• Organizing and participating in domestic and international events in the aforementioned fields (conferences, seminars, summits, symposiums, etc.);
• Organizing study visits for students to companies in the energy and environmental protection sector.
