During its thirty years of work, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica has organized classes within the framework of regular undergraduate studies, postgraduate studies and part-time studies of the first and second degrees. At the same time, a large number of master's theses and doctoral dissertations were submitted and successfully defended at the Faculty. Within the framework of cooperation with the economy and with the aim of permanent education of experts from practice, the Faculty has successfully organized a series of courses and seminars in various scientific fields.
In view of the modern technical and technological development, it was necessary to innovate the plan and program, so that the number of scientific disciplines that are studied today at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica has been significantly increased compared to twenty years ago. Considering the increasing progress of computer technology and the increasing need to communicate with the world, a special emphasis is placed on the improvement of students in the field of informatics and learning foreign languages. Today's curriculum includes over 90 subjects, some of which are common to all departments and majors, while others are studied only within certain majors or at the choice of students, depending on their interest or the stated needs of their fellows.
Curricula and programs at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica from the academic year 2005/2006. were made according to the main principles of the Bologna Declaration. Starting from the main principles of the Bologna Declaration: improving the quality of studies, the credit system, issuing Diploma Supplements, mobility of students and teachers, etc., and the basic premise that the Bologna Declaration represents a dynamic process, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica, according to the recommendation of the University of Zenica, made certain changes and additions to curricula, and scored them according to the ECTS system (European Credit Transfer System). The amendments were adopted at the session of the Teaching and Research Council on June 8, 2005. according to the valid procedure.
