Ernad Bešlagić was born in 1975 in Zenica, where he completed primary and secondary school. He graduated in 2002 from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica, majoring in construction and production. The postgraduate master's study "Metrology" ends in 2013 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica with the defense of the master's thesis "Development of radial impellers of centrifugal turbopumps, based on the application of a reduced numerical model of the same flow tract, created on the basis of a realistic and ideal CAD model".

Doctoral studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Mostar, major: Polytechnics, enrolled in 2018. He will defend his doctoral dissertation entitled "Analysis of blocking factors in the wind tunnel during testing of Darrieus wind turbines" in 2021.

He completed his internship during 2002 and 2003 in the companies "Orbis" doo Zenica and JP "Grijanje" Zenica. Since 2008, he has been employed at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica, as a member of the teaching team of the Department of Structures and CAD Technology and the Department of Automation and Metrology, where he is still today.

Until 2018, he participated in the teaching of various subjects (mostly in the field of construction) in the title of assistant and senior assistant, and from 2022 in the title of assistant professor in subjects in the field of metrology and construction. As a mentor or commentator, he guided several candidates in the 1st and 2nd cycle of studies. He participated in several professional, educational or scientific research projects.

Since 2022, he has been the president of the Citizens' Association "Education for the new age - STEAM education". He is the co-author of one university textbook and two books, as well as several scientific and professional papers in journals and conference proceedings.

He is married and father of two children.
