ACTIVITY OF THE LABORATORY
The Laboratory for Technical Diagnostics (LTD) started its work in 1985 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica. LTD is especially engaged in theoretical and applied research for business entities. The Laboratory carries out its scientific research and professional activities in the following areas:

• measurement and control of vibration level of technical systems;
• analysis of vibrational states of technical systems;
• static and dynamic balancing of rotary systems in their own bearings;
• diagnosis of rolling and sliding bearings using the SPM method;
• thermal imaging tests;
• ultrasonic defectoscopic examinations;
• research based on the application of the stroboscopic effect;
• laser adjustment and alignment control of connected parts.

In addition to the above, the Laboratory for Technical Diagnostics is intended for the education of students of all levels of education and scientific-teaching, scientific-research and professional work. In LTD, several supervisions were carried out for the preparation of graduate, master's and doctoral theses.

THE MOST IMPORTANT REFERENCES
As a result of their more than 20 years of existence, LTD experts have implemented dozens of R&D projects and applied research for the needs of various economic entities. More than 100 expertises were performed with more than 1000 diagnosed technical systems (turbines, generators, fans, wood cutters, reducers, multipliers, electric motors, etc.). There are numerous factories where LTD experts worked, starting with all plants of ironworks in Zenica and Ilijaš, mines in Kakanj, Zenica and Breza, cement plants in Kakanj and Lukavac, thermal power plants in Kakanj and Tuzla, hydropower plants on Neretva, Una and Drina, power plants in Sarajevo , Zavidovići and Travnik, paper factories in Maglaj, Banja Luka and Drvar, with various technological capacities in wood and other industries. branches (Zavidovići, Busovača, Donji Vakuf, etc.) to metal processing and food industry plants in Sarajevo, Vogošća, Hrasnica, Visoko, Metković, etc.
The basic determinants in the work of LTD are the qualification to perform the mentioned works, the quality and speed of the services, which are always adapted to the needs of the client. The work of LTD is aligned with the appropriate European regulations, standards and recommendations expressed through the use of appropriate ISO, VDI, EN, JUS, BAS, BS, DIN and others. standards and recommendations, various software packages and programs as well as expert systems. Of course, we did not ignore the specifications of the ISO 9000/2000 and ISO 14000 standards either.
