ACTIVITY OF THE LABORATORY
The Department of Engineering Ecology established an environmental laboratory within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica. The vision of the establishment of the laboratory is to carry out practical teaching and scientific research within its domain.
As part of the activities carried out at the University for equipping and enriching laboratories, the necessary equipment was procured to complete the laboratory for environmental monitoring, in order to ensure the same for the quality performance of practical teaching and scientific research work, as well as the provision of services on the market. In this sense, it should be noted that representatives of the Department of Engineering Ecology are already involved in the preparation of certain national monitoring programs in certain areas of the environment. The department believes that due to personnel and technical conditions (laboratory - with the addition of equipment) there are realistic assumptions for the laboratory to be involved in certain types of environmental monitoring at the national level. Likewise, there are increasing demands for monitoring in the field of the environment at both the local and regional level.
The purpose of the laboratory complex is to soon start the accreditation procedure of laboratories for environmental monitoring, which would have multiple benefits for the University as well.
