ACTIVITY OF THE LABORATORY
As part of their many years of scientific research and professional work, the employees of this Laboratory have carried out a number of scientific research and professional works both for the needs of economic entities and those in the field of fundamental research. The Laboratory carries out its scientific research and professional activities in the following areas:
- measurement and analysis of stresses and deformations (static and dynamic),
- measurement of displacement, acceleration, force, pressure,
- measurement of residual voltages by automatic and other principles,
- measurements based on both pulse and stroboscopic effects,
- ultrasound examinations,
- wall thickness tests,
- pressure equipment testing,
- numerical analysis of complex systems,
- vibrorelaxation of residual stresses,
- photoelastimetry,
- research, design, development projects, expertise, consulting services, reviews, seminars
It should be noted that in addition to scientific research and professional activities with applications in industry, the Laboratory is intended for the education of students of all levels of education. In this sense, the capacities of the Laboratory are used for laboratory exercises of undergraduate and master's studies, and a considerable amount of research has been done in connection with the preparation of graduate, master's and doctoral theses.
THE MOST IMPORTANT REFERENCES
As significant references that reflect the quality of services, technical equipment and qualifications of the Laboratory and staff, over 200 applied researches and expertise for the needs of business entities, as well as a wide range of processed technical systems (pressure vessels, bridge cranes, construction cranes, conveyors, bridge constructions, compensators on boilers, accumulator tanks of pumping stations, vertical mining drills, mining elevators, wagon bases, telescopic tribunes of sports halls, machines of various types and purposes, reducer bases, support structures of various types, etc.) There is a very large number of economic entities with with whom we had the honor to cooperate, of which we can single out, for example, the plants of the ironworks in Zenica, the mine, thermal power plant and cement plant in Kaknje, and a number of privately owned businesses.
Our work is aligned with the appropriate regulations, standards and recommendations expressed through the use of appropriate ISO, EN, and BAS standards and recommendations. The basic characteristics of the Laboratory's work are qualification, quality, speed, and adaptability to the needs of the client.
