The Department of Mechanics deals with the research of the behavior of rigid and deformable bodies under the influence of various loads, analytically, numerically and experimentally.
In the teaching activity, the courses covered by the Department of Mechanics aim to train students to understand and use basic theoretical concepts when analyzing and solving a wide range of practical problems that they will encounter as engineers in their future work. Teaching is based on the principles defined by the Bologna Declaration.
