DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING

The main task of the Department of Environmental Engineering is education and research in the field of environmental engineering and environmental protection. The Department of Environmental Engineering organizes classes (lectures and exercises) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy and Pedagogy. The teaching process is organized according to the requirements of the ECTS system, and curricula are constantly analyzed, updated and improved

Within the Department, there is also a Laboratory for Environmental Monitoring, which houses equipment and facilities that cover the areas studied by the Department. The main goals of the Department of Environmental Engineering with the associated laboratory are:

• scientific and professional training, i.e. expanding knowledge in the field of environmental engineering, environmental technologies, environmental protection and monitoring,
• increasing the level of quality of scientific and research work in the field of environmental engineering and environmental protection (Environmental Engineering),
• study of the best technologies and knowledge in the field of environmental engineering with the aim of effective application in various economic branches and activities,
• provision of personnel potential for scientific research and professional work in the field of environmental engineering,
• provision of personnel for effective implementation of environmental legislation and environmental management systems,
• promoting cooperation with other universities and institutes in the country and abroad, as well as cooperation and service activities for the development of economic entities,
• organizing educational seminars in the field of environmental engineering,
• strengthening relations with business entities in the environment
