Defense of the final thesis of candidate Heco Velid entitled: "Superplastic Design"

On March 26, 2025, the final thesis was defended before a committee consisting of:

• V.Prof.Dr. Ibrahim Plancic, mentor
• Assistant Amel Karić, secretary

In the paper, the candidate presented in detail the basic characteristics of superplastic forming, the technology of execution and the necessary equipment. Then, the candidate explained the basic advantages, but also the disadvantages of this technology compared to conventional manufacturing technologies. After that, the candidate explained the diffusion bonding process and its applications in the production of hollow structural elements. Finally, the application of the mentioned technologies in the aviation industry was presented with special emphasis on the production of folding wings of jet engines such as the EJ200.

Candidate Heco Velid thus earned the title of Mechanical Engineer with a total of 180 ECTS credit points.
