As a high school student, I was more interested in social than technical sciences. However, that didn't stop me from considering enrolling at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica when I found out about the opportunities that faculty offers.

At first, I was worried that my previous weak knowledge of physics and mathematics would not be enough for this technical faculty. However, when I started studying everything changed quickly. The first exam I passed was physics!

Shortly after that, I encountered CAD (Computer Aided Design) technologies for the first time and it didn't take long to fall in love with this branch of science. Since then, CAD technologies have become an indispensable part of my everyday life. That's why I joined the university iDEAlab center, a creative laboratory that aims to encourage and develop entrepreneurial and innovative ideas among students. There, in addition to CAD technologies, I also fell in love with 3D printing technology due to the fact that with the help of a 3D printer I could turn my ideas into physical products. In iDEAlab, I participated in many student projects with my colleagues, but also in those that had a humane character and significance for the wider social community. The greatest satisfaction for me in that period was that the projects in iDEAlab were recognized, and as a result of those activities, the faculty received valuable equipment in the form of the most modern 3D printers and 3D scanners.

In the third year of my studies, I applied for the ERASMUS+ student exchange program, and with the help and support of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, I went on a student exchange at University of Jaén to Spain where I spent one semester. There I had the opportunity to meet different people and cultures, gain new knowledge and experience one of the most beautiful periods of my life.

The following year, I applied to the program "Internship Program of German Business" for an internship in Germany, where I got the opportunity to do my internship in Wuppertal, in the company EMKA. At EMKA, I was part of the R&D team, and I had the opportunity to work together with German colleagues on the development of new and optimization of existing products using CAD technologies and FEM analysis.

During my studies, I had the honor of winning two valuable prizes together with my colleagues: third place at To the first BH Makethon held in Sarajevo, and the selection among the 10 best entrepreneurial ideas at IX Exchange of entrepreneurial ideas in Podgorica.

My previous skills and knowledge acquired at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica and through the iDEAlab center were a key segment when finding my first job after studying. After finishing my studies, I got a job in the company Strojotehnika doo. which is the authorized representative SOLIDWORKS and SolidCAM software solutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.

During my work at Strojotehnica, I acquired numerous SOLIDWORKS certificates, the most significant of which CSWE – Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert in Mechanical Design which represents the highest level of certification in SOLIDWORKS. I am currently a member SOLIDWORKS Champion program in the world, I am an alumni Zoran Đinđić Foundation, you BH Futures Foundation.

This year I had the opportunity to attend 3DEXPERIENCE WORLD 2023 event in Nashville, USA, organized by the company Dassault Systèmes, and further expand your knowledge. It is an event where designers, engineers, manufacturers and industry leaders gather to discuss and share their experiences on the latest developments in the world of technology.

On this occasion, I share my story to motivate other students to find their passion in a field and to improve in it. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica is a great place for learning and development, and I am proud to have been a student of this technical faculty.
