Ahmed Mujkanović – graduate

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica offers numerous opportunities such as the use of modern equipment, the possibility of applying to ERASMUS+ exchange programs, participating in additional activities through the iDEAlab center and many others.
Thanks to the faculty, I had the opportunity to do an internship in Germany, in the company Germannius GmbH. We worked on the development, design and analysis of a new piston valve. Leaving a positive impression, the cooperation with the director of the company continued even after the internship.

Due to my affinity and preference for new technologies, I joined the team from the iDEAlab center. That's where I encountered 3D printing and 3D scanning technologies. In addition to the knowledge acquired through classes, the knowledge acquired by participating in various projects through the iDEAlab center are of great importance and an additional plus when finding employment after graduating from college. Dedication and commitment during the preparation of the diploma thesis that belonged to the specific field of biomechanical research, and the incredible mentorship of respected prof. Ph.D. Fuad Hadžikadunić, resulted in me being the recipient of the Rector's Charter for scientific and research work for the academic year 2019/2020.

As of the academic year 2020/2021, as an external associate at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, I held part of the exercises on the subject of CAD technology. I started my business career as a technical manager of the FabLab digital fabrication laboratory Sarajevo, where for a year I met great innovative and creative people and entrepreneurs, visited several countries through various projects and acquired additional knowledge in the field of 3D printing, 3D modeling, 3D scanning, and Augmented and Virtual Reality (eng. Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality ). After a year of wonderful experience in FabLab Sarajevo, I continue my journey in the company Strojotehnika doo as technical support for users of SolidWorks, SolidCAM and 3DEXPERIENCE software solutions. Strojotehnika doo is the authorized representative for the mentioned software solutions for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.

Constant learning, advancement and professional development are a key part of the business environment for a young engineer, but I would also say a person.
